We encourage everyone to support your local entrepreneur because they are the ones that truly serve your local community. They are the ones who built your local community for decades. They are the ones that supported your local sports and culture initiatives. They are the ones that employed you with incomes high enough to help you support your children’s future career development. They are the ones that could bring your children back from the big anonymous cities with new hope for a better life if you actually supported them with your purchasing power.

We are busy building out our WeBuyLocal.ca directories in small towns across British Columbia and Alberta because most of us have relatives in at least one or more of them. We are willing to bet that most of you do too and we can also see that many of you are struggling with how to rebuild your own gutted communities and how to make them healthy enough to bring your children back home with viable incomes away from the crowded cities that have unaffordable homes to start their own families with.

If you want your children to enjoy the same carefree childhoods that you had when you were a child then start supporting your local businesses as if your life depends on it because it does. It’s sad to see all the strife in so many lives and families around us because of the displacement and funnelling of wealth away from our local communities as a result of the cold-hearted availability of imports of all products from around the world that should have been locally produced by our local workforces.

All of us, as consumers, have to stop buying the lowest cost, disposable products that are polluting our landfills and get back to quality locally crafted essentials that fit the form and function of simpler lives with less stress due to unreasonable debt that is the result of avarice and the pursuit of shiny objects that have short term endorphins injected joy but long-lasting financial consequences for those who bought more than they could afford.

The internet has completely turned the world upside down with constant bombardment of available distractions and false promises. It has made everything we don’t need – available. At the same time, the internet has also made it possible for us to organize ourselves into our new versions of old communities using tools like our new WEBUYLOCAL.CA directories to highlight all of our local talent and services from local skilled professionals, tradesmen, artists, service industries and entertainment.
